Adrienne Adams, was born February 8, 1906 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She received her B.A. at Stephens College in 1925, and continued her education at the University of Missouri and the American School of Design in New York. Married to the author, and her occasional collaborator, John Lorizo Anderson, Miss Adams worked as an artist, illustrator, and children's book author.
